Application:
Apply a small amount to the desired skin area and gently massage in. Can be used several times a day if needed. For external use only.

Gentle lip care – ideal:
- For chapped, dry or cracked lips
- As daily care for dry heating air or strong sun exposure
- On the go – always at hand thanks to its compact tin
- For a slight shine and subtle cherry scent
- Also applicable as a base under lipstick

No. Zam-Buk is a cosmetic product for external use. It is used for care, not for medical treatment or relief of diseases.

Zam-Buk Red is based on paraffin wax, petroleum jelly, cherry flavor and dyes.

Zam-Buk contains no animal ingredients, but it does contain mineral oil-based carriers.
According to the manufacturer, no animal testing is performed.

How long does Zam-Buk last?
Unopened, lasts at least 3 years (see packaging). Once opened, use within 12 months. Store dry and below 30 °C.

Is Zam-Buk approved in Germany?
Yes. Zam-Buk is notified as a cosmetic product in the CPNP database in accordance with the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC No. 1223/2009) and is therefore marketable within the EU.

Suitable for children from 3 years of age (green variant). For toddlers and sensitive skin, please test on a small area beforehand.

Basically yes – especially the red variant is mildly formulated. For very sensitive or allergic skin, we recommend a compatibility test on a small skin area before use.

The balm is produced by Aviz Laboratories (Pty) Ltd., a certified company based in Midrand, Gauteng. Distribution is carried out on behalf of Bayer (Pty) Ltd., a long-standing brand owner and reliable partner.
Each batch undergoes strict internal quality controls and meets all requirements of the South African health authorities as well as the requirements of the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC No. 1223/2009). Before being imported into Europe, the product is additionally registered and fully documented via the Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP).
